Central Illinois has been terribly hot and humid this week. Like wearing a wet blanket. But it does make for good stamping and crafting weather!
This week the PPA challenge is a sketch and designed by Maggie Mata. There are tons of options with this sketch and I may just try a few more.
The Designer Series Paper in this year’s catalog is absolutely amazing. All of them. And this one is no different. It’s the Playful Palette Stack. Stacks are 6″ square, just perfect for cards and envelopes flaps.
I started with a Very Vanilla base, but turned long-ways. Score a sheet of cardstock at 5 1/2″ and then cut at 4 1/4″.
A layer of Basic Black at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ sets off the cross-hatch Peekaboo Peach designer paper. I wanted something with a little bit of drama, but not too much. The DSP is cut 4″ x 5 1/4″.
A 2″ circle of Emerald Envy is topped with a star stamped in Peekaboo Peach. I used scissors to trim around the star to leave a little border of Vanilla. “Happy Birthday” is stamped in Emerald Envy and punched with a 2″ circle punch. The little polka dot piece is punched with the 1 3/8″ circle punch.
Here’s a list of all the fabulous products that I used to create this card. If you need any of these products, you can order online and have them shipped directly to your door.
Don’t forget the rewards that are available when you shop online as well.
Until Next Time–Happy Stamping!
